For 2000, SGT Racing will be entering participants within the BARC Formula Renault championship and the Formula Renault Sport championship. Whilst the BARC championship generates a small amount of press and TV coverage, the Formula Renault Sport championship offers unrivalled coverage. It is run in conjunction with the BTCC and attracts more than 25,000 spectators per race as well as extensive TV coverage.

What will benefits will sponsorship bring?

Advertising

The first obvious benefit will be to advertise your company, service or product. At each event at least 25,000 people will see the car, which represents a grand total of over 300,000 people countrywide. On top of the live audience, there is television and press coverage to be considered which is estimated to be another 40 million people. That is phenomenal coverage!

Hospitality

Hospitality is another great benefit. You will have the opportunity to be able to entertain key clients, customers, sales force etc. All circuits have extensive hospitality suites available or hospitality within the paddock con be arranged. The possibility of actually merchandising at the events also exists.

PROMOTIONAL EVENTS and EXHIBITIONS

The car and driver will be available to you for promotional events or exhibitions when not testing or racing. Special drive days can be arranged where passengers con be driven around major race circuits.

Corporate Driving Days

Experience the thrill of driving a racing car or being driven by a racing driver. It would be possible to organise corporate hospitality days, where people can either be driven around a racing circuit or even have an opportunity to drive themselves.

TELEVISION & PRESS COVERAGE...

What TV coverage is provided?

Renault provides television coverage of every round of the championship, The new television package will be announced shortly and will be based on the broadcasts achieved in 1998. The coverage in 1998 was the greatest ever attained by Renault, with an estimated total audience of 40 million. A total broadcast time of over 70 minutes was achieved.

Formula Renault racing was featured in three major television programmes, Pole Position on Sky Sports, Motors on Eurosport and Chequered Flag on the UK cable network Wire TV. In addition, it was also shown on news channels such as Sky News and in programmes broadcast in South Africa and Asia,

Does the press give Formula Renault much coverage?

An analysis of press cuttings in 1998 revealed that nearly 50 million people read stories about Formula Renault. Over 4,000 column inches were devoted to the championship, an advertising equivalent cost of £115,000.

Almost every week, Autosport has a news article featuring an aspect of Formula Renault Sport.

ADVERTISING SPACE

The following pictures indicate what advertising space is available on both the car and the driver's overalls. Certain areas as indicated are allocated for the championship sponsors. All other areas are available.

The car can be sprayed in any colour scheme chosen by the principal sponsor.  The principal sponsor may also choose the colours of the driver's overalls. 

The red squares are allocated to the championship sponsor.
